Our team is lead by Dr. V. Surendra Shetty, the leading Orthodontist in Mangalore from the past 33 years and presently the Dean and Head of the Department of Orthodontics, Manipal College of dental sciences, Mangalore.

We also use advisory teams to collaborate on the latest techniques and treatment options.

Dr. V. Surendra Shetty

Dr V. Surendra Shetty heads the Excellence Dental Health care centre.
A dynamic, Pioneer Orthodontist,
Dr Shetty has put in the best of his
60 years into the development and growth of dental awareness.

Hailing from the home district,
Dr Shetty had his dental training, both undergraduate and postgraduate, in the Manipal College of Dental Sciences at Manipal.

He has had wide exposure in his specialty, through contacts with leading luminaries in the field in India and abroad. He has traveled to Europe and U.S.A., bringing richly acquired clinical skills to his patients in Mangalore.

Though his core competency is as a master orthodontist. His dental special interests are in minor oral surgery, including extractions of wisdom teeth.

His many achievements include:

• Dr T.M.A. Pai Blue Ribbon Gold Medal for best out going student in B.D.S. 1970.
• State Award Winner for Standing First in B.D.S. in the Mysore University 1970.
• Student Plaque Award - Awarded by the International College of Dentists, India, 1970.
• Winner of Dental Students Association Gold Medal, 1970.
• Roll of honor - Awarded by the Students Assoc. K.M.C., Manipal, 1970.
• Obtained First Prize for all India Dental Model Competition for Postgraduate Students - 1973.

Dr. Siddarth Shetty

Dr. Shetty’s elder son Dr. Siddarth Shetty, Is an Orthodontist currently working at the Manipal College of Dental Sciences as an associate professor.

He is the recipient of the Best paper award at the IOS conference held at Cochin in October, 2001.

He is a Member of the Indian Orthodontic Society. He is committed to his field and strives to provide the highest quality possible in orthodontics.

Dr. Karthik Shetty

Dr Karthik Shetty is the restorative and aesthetic dentist.

He is a part of the teaching faculty in the department of conservative dentistry and endodontics,manipal college of dental sciences,kmc mangalore as an assistant professor.

Undergraduation:
Sdm college of dental sciences dharwad.

Post graduation/specialization:
M.D.S in conservative dentistry,endodontics and aesthetic dentistry, Manipal college of dental sciences,manipal.

Federation of operative dentistry of India Indian endodontic society.

Laurels:

• Best poster presentation for scientific poster presentation at the fifth all India pg students convention ,conservative dentistry and endodontics,june 2004 at kanyakumari.
• Winning IIIrd prize in Quiz at 18 th Federation of Operative Dentistry of India and 11th India Endodontic Society National Conference, at Nov 2003 BHU, Varanasi, India.
