Oral health has a major role in the overall health and well being of children and while it's true that primary teeth are only in the mouth a short period of time, they play a vital role for the child’s appearance, mastication, phonation, and future arch length development. and thus it is imperative to maintain both primary and permanent teeth in optimum health. Kids with little or no dental care are susceptible to oral diseases such as cavities causing unnecessary pain, infection, and malnutrition. Many parents have a tough time judging how much oral care their children need. They know they want to prevent cavities, but they do not always know the best way to do so. So we are here to provide you better oral care guidance and to understand your kids dental needs. The facilities provided in our clinic include -
Involves placement of special therapeutic fillings and crowns in already cavitated teeth.
Pit & Fissure Sealants for back teeth, even before cavity starts. Topical fluoride treatments for preventing cavities.
If his/her primary (baby) teeth have been injured, or if decay has advanced deep into the roots of your child’s teeth, a root canal treatment to stabilize teeth may be needed..Root canal treatment removes infection from the pulp, the living tissue that is found inside the roots of teeth. The pulp contains the nerves, so tooth pain is often an indication that decay has moved into the pulp.
The improper positioning of the teeth and jaws (malocclusion) can be caused by a number of reasons. The early loss of milk teeth or such habits as thumb sucking, fingernail biting, or lip biting can all be contributing factors. Many children respond well to counseling. Others may need a habit breaking appliance to ease them out of the habit.
They are the appliances used to maintain the space or regain minor amount of space lost,so as to guide unerrupted teeth into a proper position in the arch so as to prevent or reduce the extent of malocclusion after permanent teeth have errupted in position.
